Introduction
Assumptions are when we think of something to be true without definite proof. In this week's think lab class, we were asked to identify the basic assumptions of food items and challenge those assumptions. For example some assumptions of Vada Pav are that it is mostly available in Mumbai, is enjoyed in rainy season, is not at all expensive and is considered unhealthy.
Warm up activity
In warm up activity we recognized the basic assumption of tea like, it is an everyday and social beverage. Also it is not at all expensive and is easily available in roadside. So challenging these assumptions, chaayos brings tea in a modern, funky cafe format. It experiments with tea and provide so many different snacks with it, therefore its expensive and not easily available.
MAIN ACTIVITY
In the main activity we were divided in groups and given a food item. From which we had to list down forty assumptions and challenge any one assumption we made and prepare google slide for presentation in the end.
Dish given to us was Vada Pav.

ASSUMPTIONS LOGO AND POSTER
In Vada Pav, the assumptions we targeted were serves one and specific size. So we made our Vada Pav in bigger bread and was named as Bada Pav which served more than one people.
REFLECTION
In designing Challenging assumptions is an approach designed to break apart a statement and come across where assumptions may be limiting your options. Assumptions can be identified by considering a number of solutions to a problem statements.
I found this task quite time consuming. But in our group the tasks were divided to everyone and everyone helped each other in completing their respective tasks so we were able to finish our task on time.
For the starting half hour we were thinking about the assumptions for our dish, as Vada Pav is mostly available in Mumbai, no one from our group ate it more than once so thinking and writing forty assumptions about it was quite challenging for us but we researched for every small details for our dish and completing assumptions.
With this we were not only able to finish our task on time but also received a positive feedback from our teachers for our assumptions and way of presenting it and also for our poster.
Apart from our group, Group 9 who were representing cake, which I found really nice. Their assumptions and the way they represented everything was really amazing.
